Sarah Mitchell
Post Partum Doula from Dublin, supporting families in Dublin City & surrounding areas!
Hi I’m Sarah, after graduating with a B.A. degree in Social Care in 2016, I travelled to Canada to see what life was like away from home! After travelling and exploring North and South America, in 2022 Ireland was calling me home. My husband and I moved back to Ireland and not long after was our first daughter born, in our living room! (shoutout to the amazing community midwife Niamh Bates)
My passion for postpartum care came from the love, support and encouragement I received from all the wonderful women in my life during my postpartum period. I was given the space and support to focus on bonding with my beautiful baby and establish a good breastfeeding journey with her. I look back of the early days with fond memories, my wish is for every new mother to feel this support during the early days.
I believe in fully supporting the MotherBaby dyad, however that looks for your family. The transition into motherhood in the 4th trimester can be a difficult adjustment for some and that’s where a post-partum doula can hugely help.
I meet families where they are and provide practical help and support so they can relax and soak up the glorious days of life with a newborn.
When I’m not caring for babies, you’ll probably find me in the kitchen cooking up a nourishing meal for my family, chasing my toddler in the park and reading fun books! My other loves include hiking in the mountains, being by the sea and eating delicious food!
